Jeff Lovitt is Chief of Party of CEMP (Central Europe Media Program), a project led by Zinc Network to support independent media in achieving sustainability. He worked as a journalist and editor in London and Central Europe (The European, The Sunday Times) from 1987-2000, and as Director of Communications at Transparency International from 2000-2005. He served as Executive Director of the PASOS network of think-tanks in Europe and Central Asia from 2005-2015 after which he worked as a local democracy consultant and author for the Council of Europe and the Open Government Partnership, and as a risk analyst for UNDP, until joining Zinc Network in 2022. He was a Member of the Advisory Group on Media Freedom in the Eastern Partnership, chaired by the European Commission (2015-2017).
