About Us
Central Europe Media Program (CEMP)
The Central Europe Media Program (CEMP) fosters sustainability and growth of independent media in Central Europe. As the countries of the region continue to navigate economic, security, and societal challenges, we recognise the critical role that informed debate and high-quality journalism play in shaping the future.
Launched in October 2022, CEMP, spearheaded by Zinc Network in collaboration with IREX, is committed to supporting independent media outlets across Central Europe. We are determined to nurture an ecosystem that not only upholds rigorous journalistic standards but also thrives with innovative content creation and sustainable business models. CEMP has been made possible with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
CEMP offers a comprehensive blend of resources to independent online news platforms in the region. Through grants, hands-on training workshops, peer-learning and expert guidance, we empower media outlets to expand their reach, engage larger audiences, and establish resilient revenue streams. Our focus encompasses essential areas such as digital strategy, content marketing, revenue diversification, and audience research.
